Abidal
Frenchman Eric Abidal is fondly remembered as a versatile defender who stewarded the club to it's most successful ever period during his six years at the club. Whilst a blaugrana in 2011, Abidal underwent a liver transplant, yet heroically managed to help Barça win the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United less than three months after his diagnosis. Abidal returned to FC Barcelona as Director of Football in 2018.
