Piqué, Araujo and Carevic in squad for Real Sociedad

On Wednesday morning, the team trained for the last time before the game on the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. After a few hot and sunny days, the temperatures have dropped back down again in the Catalan capital, and the session was held beneath the clouds in a crisp wind. Xavi Hernández has named his squad for the game with Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena on Thursday and it’s as follows: Ter Stegen, Dest, Piqué, R. Araujo, Sergio, Riqui Puig, O. Dembélé, Dani Alves, Memphis, Adama, Braithwaite, Neto, Nico, Lenglet, L. De Jong, Jordi Alba, Ferran, F. De Jong, O. Mingueza, Eric, Aubameyang, Carevic and Gavi. That means a return for Gerard Piqué, who was given the medical all-clear on Wednesday, and also a call-up for Montenegrin goalkeeper Lazar Carević. Meanwhile, Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo is back after being suspended for the weekend fixture.
